Introduction

First Edition - February 2024

In our inaugural edition of the art competition, we deliberately selected the theme of PACIFICATION: ‘Promote peace with your [he]art.’ This choice is deeply rooted in the current global context, acknowledging the challenges and uncertainties that surround us.

The theme serves as a call to action for people to use their creative expressions as a force for positive change. In a world marked by various issues, we believe that art has the power to inspire, provoke thought, and convey a message of peace.

“Pacification” holds universal relevance, transcending cultural and geographical boundaries. It invites individuals from diverse backgrounds to participate, encouraging the exploration of different perspectives on peace.

By emphasizing the promotion of peace, our aim is to foster a collective response to global challenges. We want this theme to not only inspire individual artistic expressions but also to create a sense of community engagement, where diverse voices come together to advocate for a more harmonious world.

Art, as a catalyst for change, has the potential to influence societal attitudes. Through the theme of pacification, we hope to harness the transformative power of art to contribute meaningfully to discussions on peace and to inspire positive action.

In this spirit, we invite participants to create artwork aligned with the theme of Pacification: ‘Promote peace with your [he]art.’ Your submission can be in any visual art form that can be captured in a picture, such as drawings, paintings, photography, sculpture, land art, or digital art. However, for this edition, we will not be accepting submissions of videos or music.

Your creative contributions will not only reflect your individual artistic expression but also contribute to a collective dialogue of hope, resilience, and unity, using the language of art to address and respond to the contemporary world. We look forward to seeing your unique interpretations and the positive impact they may bring to our shared vision of a more harmonious world.
